Local growth in Matteson and Surrounding Areas has SERVPRO busy

Matteson Village building with the words Matteson written as well The Village of Matteson is a great partner to SERVPRO of Matteson-Homewood

2020 has been challenging for many industries and communities. Matteson however and surrounding areas have managed to experience growth in various sectors. With that growth has come more commercial buildings for SERVPRO of Matteson-Homewood to provide cleaning and restoration services to. As a locally owned and operated business located on Main Street, Matteson IL just south of Rt. 30 Lincoln Highway, our teams are just minutes away from every building in the village.

Due to Covid-19 complications, we have ben providing the Matteson Fire Department and other critical infrastructure partners with deep cleaning, fogging, and disinfecting services whenever called upon. We also have been performing cleaning work for the Matteson School Districts. That's what locally owned and operated companies do.

Local businesses are coming to the area like Amazon, Alexi Senior Living, Auction Greater Chicago, and many more. Our hope is these great businesses will add to the already fantastic community.

SERVPRO of Matteson-Homewood takes an active role in supporting our local Fire Departments.

SERVPRO of Matteson-Homewood is a proud supporter of our Fire Departments.

Whether it be a Fire Department's Blood drive, Open House, Golf Outing, a pancake breakfast, fish fry or benefit, SERVPRO of Matteson-Homewood is there.

Pictured in this blog we are donating a Palmer Doll House which we constructed to the local #Fire Department.

The Palmer Doll House is an effective tool for the training of firemen in both classroom and hands on.

For a Department to be effective as with any business knowledge and education are paramount.

Using the Palmer Doll House is a superb vehicle to show and demonstrate how ventilation of positive and negative degrees allows to see how backdraft and flashover occurs.

It also can be a tool to demonstrate tactics and results therefrom.

Recently the Cook County Health Department and other local officials have been in discussions on how best to re open Illinois businesses safely in response to the Covid19 pandemic. Locally, both the Village of Matteson located at 4900 Village Commons Matteson, IL 60443 and the Village of Homewood located at 2020 Chestnut Rd. Homewood IL, 60430 have been providing aid to local residents including handing our masks and food. For business owners they have directed us to look to both OSHA and the CDC for recommendations on re opening businesses. You can find great information for your business by visiting those websites. You can also give us a call at (78)747-9925. Our Main Street address makes getting information easy.

SERVPRO of Matteson-Homewood has been open during the Illinois shelter in place order because we are considered essential to the communities. Dispatcher Appreciation

4/13/2020 (Permalink)

“Thank you to all our 911 dispatchers” “from your local SERVPRO” on black wood background Thank you to all our hard working 911 operators.

In honor of Dispatcher Appreciation Week, we at SERVPRO of Matteson- Homewood would like to say thank you!

From a young age, we teach children to call 911 in the case of an emergency.  It is common knowledge that the police, fireman, or paramedics will come to your home in response.  The 911 operator that answers your call is likely someone you will never meet.  Similarly, the dispatcher may never know how your emergency was resolved.  That man or woman will walk you through your emergency sometime until emergency personal arrives at your location, and then their job is done.

For many 911 operators just because their job is over when your call disconnects, they wonder about your situation and feel your pain and stress just the same.  Every year we get the opportunity to say THANK YOU to the unseen hero’s on the front line.

We at SERVPRO of Matteson-Homewood would like to say thank you to the dispatch centers in our areas, Laraway 911 Center and SouthCom Dispatch Center.

SERVPRO has been cleaning and disinfecting schools and other commercial buildings for quite some time. Proactively cleaning touchable surfaces with an EPA registered disinfectant and wet fogging areas is proven to reduce germs, viruses, and other bacteria from becoming a problem.

Our trained technicians use hospital grade disinfectants and the latest equipment when providing cleaning services for school districts, municipal buildings, and other vital facilities. We concentrate on door handles, light switches, desk phones and other commonly touched items throughout buildings. If you need proactive cleaning and disinfecting services, please reach out to our office for a free estimate.

Marketing representative Angela Kuelper with future SERVPRO employee, her son Vincent.

This past weekend SERVPRO of Matteson- Homewood had the chance to take part in an event for area fire fighters and police!  Peotone Fire Department held their 7th annual Fire & Police Swap Meet at the Will County Fair Gounds in Peotone.  This swap meet has been a great success over the years attracting people from as far away as California!  We were very proud to be able to support such a great event and our local Police and Fire departments.  SERVPRO of Matteson- Homewood marketing representative Angela Kuelper was onsite to answer questions and get to know more about the community that we serve.

“I meet people from St. Luis, Chicago, Pennsylvania and California while at the event.  It was so nice to see the turn out of both vendors and attendees.  The Peotone Fire Department did a great job putting on the event!  I was told by one person that the event just Kees growing ever year, a sure sign of success!” -Angela Kuelper

At SERVPRO of Matteson- Homewood we love to do these local events.  Community involvement is one of the biggest things that sets us apart from out competitors.
